Missouri Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children Issues Final Report

The Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children released its final report to the Governor, General Assembly and State Board of Education on January 3. For the last year, the Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children has met and carefully studied the issue of child sexual abuse and how it can be prevented. The report is a blueprint for ending the epidemic of child sexual abuse. Missourian are encouraged to read the report and become part of the solution to ending child sexual abuse.

“The Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children's report provides a 'blue print for action' emphasizing seven areas to prevent abuse. Two of these areas are the importance of community based child abuse prevention and mental health services for children who have been victimized. Great Circle is committed to prevention and programs in these areas for action and looks forward to partnering with other community organizations, making Missouri a safe place for our children,” noted Vince Hillyer, president and CEO of Great Circle.
